Counseling can be as simple as a chat about how you are doing and where you would like to be in life. People often experience distress resulting from an at-times difficult and unpredictable world. A common problem for many people stems from feelings of dissatisfaction with their present circumstances. Change may be intimidating, but it’s not impossible - and never too late!
I have been a therapist for approximately 6 years, and I firmly believe in the boundless resilience of humans. I have worked with individuals, couples, and families from rural Montana to inner-city neighborhoods in the Midwest. I have extensive training in trauma informed, client centered skills, and practice CBT, DBT, ACT and Humanistic counseling among other integrated approaches. More important than theoretical perspective, however, is understanding people do not change overnight. We all require concrete skills and solid support when navigating the sometimes-uncomfortable process of growth.
By meeting people where they are and recognizing their inherent value, I aim to help individuals navigate life’s challenges with confidence and grace.
